Intimations of Immortality

Elizabeth Brodersen (AGAP - CGJIZ), Jon Mills (ABPP) & Robin McCoy Brooks (IRSJA)

This joint presentation includes the following perspectives. Elizabeth Brodersen will explore multi-faceted dimensions to the concept of immortality by examining the concept for an afterlife where the souls of the dead are said to preside. Robin McCoy Brooks’ presentation concerns itself with how extra-psychical transformation occurs within analysis that may open the self to social/political agency in a world that is assaulted by catastrophe. Dr Erik Goodwyn explores how a full understanding of the way genome and environment interact can help us parse out clinical material. Jon Mills introduces the notion of the omega principle, the psychological trajectory of our being toward death as an eternal return of the objective psyche constellated as esse in anima.
